Favorite quotes of the episode: “1 out of 3 adults do not have dental insurance in the United States, so we created this solution to offer preventative dental care at an affordable price.”
How to balance being an entrepreneur and a new mom? “Just take it one meeting, one phone call, and one email at a time. Don’t overthink career transitions, the reward could be so incredible.”
“As an entrepreneur, your job is to be a problem solver, your personal life is no different. You have to figure out who is going to pick up the kids and be a problem solver and that’s your responsibility.”
“I believe true happiness is being at peace with yourself.”
In this episode, I talk with Megan Lohman. She describes herself as accidentally becoming a co-founder of a tech startup, Plan Forward. One of her driving forces for co-founding this software company was to help people access and afford dental care.
Today, she finds herself still trying to help bridge the gap between access and affordability for patients, and profitability for providers.
She’s had an incredible and amazing career path taking her from medical device sales to lots of travel with a sports marketing agency and stumbling into this new career trajectory as an entrepreneur while navigating life as a new mom!
