Episode Overview
I kicked off 2019 with a promise to discuss big issues, big ideas and provide real-world actionable solutions that we can all implement in our daily lives as busy professionals.
In this episode, I talk with Sarah Gardiner, the Founder, and Editor-in-Chief of Nanny Goat Press. For the last two years, Nanny Goat has served as the community bookseller for downtown Louisville, and they are making the leap into medium-press publishing. As a multi-media storytelling startup, they seek to give creative equity back to the storyteller and promote underrepresented voices.

5 Questions Segment 22:08
Q1. We know that the most successful and happy people have a morning routine, what do you do each morning or evening that sets your day up for success?
I’m a night owl and now I have leaned into it. From midnight until 2 am I take me time. I can take things at a slower pace since the world is a bit quieter.
Q2. What's your definition of Success?
For me, success is at the end of the day, knowing I did my best and feeling good about how I closed the day. I’m someone who yearns for more always and I’ve had to learn to take things day by day.
Q3. What's your definition of Happiness?
Feeling ok. When you walk out of a meeting and the sun hits your face and you feel warm and you can be in the moment and value every second of the day.
Q4. What do you know now that you wish you would have known 10 years ago?
That life goes on. We’ve all had trips, falls, and failures but it’s ok.
Q5. What do you think is the biggest issue facing busy professionals today?
Lack of Connectivity.
