She is the founder of the DVM Project, a company that supports veterinary professionals in their career development through courses, events, and coaching. 

Whether they are looking to make a career move, or be more sustainable, the DVM Project provides ways to create a long-lasting, satisfying career in vet med. 

She is one of the founders of the Global Veterinary Career Summit and is also the executive director of a national organization in Canada.  

Melanie has two kids aged 2 and 7, and lives outside of Toronto, Canada with her husband and kids on their small farm.
